Tech4G owes its origin to Viscar Industrial Capacity Ltd, which has about 16 years of offering engineering technology solutions across East Africa. From its inaugural Engineering Graduate Training Program in 2009, Viscar has had the plight of young graduates at its heart. While many graduates have benefited from the program, the demand remains very high for Viscar to satisfy them fully. In addition, the consultancies conducted across the marginalized communities revealed a digital divide that required further interventions. As a result, Viscar took the mantle to support forming a not-for-profit organization that would spearhead various interventions in line with SDG 7. TECH4G is deeply committed to providing mentorship to young people. The organization ensures that experienced experts are available to provide mentorship, a crucial element in transferring real-life experience to mentees. This support system is a testament to TECH4G’s dedication to the growth and development of young people, helping them access experts who can guide them in making day-to-day decisions, thereby increasing their chances for growth.
TECH4G aspires to be an authority in factual data to develop appropriate strategies, track performances and make appropriate interventions. It achieves this through continuous research, participation and contribution to national dialogue in relevant areas, and publication of reliable/relevant reports on technology and growth.
