Mentorship and Employability
A digital skills certificate is only valuable if it opens a door. Tech4G’s mentorship programme ensures that our graduates don’t just learn — they connect. Experienced ICT professionals from our extensive network provide one-to-one and group mentorship, helping young people and community members navigate the transition from training into sustainable employment or self-employment.
We recognise that many graduates from Kenya’s colleges remain unemployed not because they lack intelligence or drive, but because they lack the specific, industry-relevant skills and the professional networks that employers value. We address both.
What this looks like in practice:
- Structured mentorship programmes pairing mentees with ICT industry professionals
- Employability skills training: CV writing, interview preparation, professional communication
- Employer linkages and job placement support for training graduates
- Graduate follow-up to track employment outcomes and ongoing support needs
